Growing Landscapes
This collection was first shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, EGO 18. It proposes an approach between landscape and garment through the concept of skin understood as an envelope.
Our body is surrounded by various skins; our own skin, clothing, the interior walls, the buiding faccades ...etc. These skins can get closer to each other and also to our body which is the most intimate envelope. The proposal moves between two disciplines: Architecture and Fashion, and bring together different scales aparently separated: territory and body.
We understand landscape concept in a broad sense, as natural-artificial landscape, and the diffuse limit between them. These landscapes generate textures, invisible skins that surround our body and connect us with the built environment.
This collection combines handcrafted and technological techniques (laser cutting, 3d printing, shape memory) and theuse of new materials (silicone, thermic insulation sheet or nitinol) to adapt these skins to the body.
